The Gavin Farrell Foundation honors the memory of Gavin Farrell Peskin, who died tragically in 2016, at age 35, after suffering from PTSD for many years.
Gavin was brave, caring, and intellectually curious. Beloved by family and friends, he inspired many, particularly those who, like him, battled with the aftereffects of trauma.
Greater awareness, better access to care, and more effective treatment by specially-trained professionals will help countless individuals who live and struggle with PTSD. Aware of the proven success of treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Written Exposure Therapy in treating PTSD, the Foundation’s mission is to increase the number of providers trained in these therapies.
